- 8 oz (225g) of your preferred pasta variety (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne are great options)
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Olive oil for cooking
Cook the Pasta:Fill a large pot with water, add a generous pinch of salt, and bring it to a rolling boil. Toss in the pasta and cook it until it reaches the perfect al dente texture, following the timing on the package. Drain and set aside. Cook the Chicken:Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Warm some olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6minutes per side. Transfer the chicken from the skillet to a plate and set it aside. Prepare the Sauce:In the same skillet, if needed, add a little more olive oil. Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until it becomes aromatic. Combine Everything:Stir in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and dried thyme, if using. Allow the sauce to simmer gently for a few minutes until it thickens slightly. Bring It Together:Return the cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are thoroughly coated with the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve:Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if you like. Serve hot and enjoy!
