Ingredients

For the Filling:

  • 1 lb ribeye steak (thinly sliced – or use flank steak or sirloin)
  • 1 large onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 bell pepper (any color, sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or butter)

For the Sliders:

  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or mini brioche work great)
  • 8 slices provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz for authenticity!)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried parsley

Instructions

Sauté the Vegetables

  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add onions and bell peppers, cooking for 5-6 minutes until soft and caramelized.
  • Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Steak

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining oil and thinly sliced steak.
  • Cook over high heat for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Return the onions and peppers to the skillet and mix.

Assemble the Sliders

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice slider buns in half (keeping them connected for easy assembly).
  • Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  • Layer with half the cheese, followed by the steak mixture, then the remaining cheese.
  • Top with the remaining bun halves.

Add Garlic Butter Topping

  • Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
  • Brush generously over the slider tops.

Bake & Serve

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and buns are golden.
  • Optional: Cover with foil for the first 8 minutes to prevent over-browning.
  • Slice into individual sliders and serve warm!
