For the Filling:
- 1 lb ribeye steak (thinly sliced – or use flank steak or sirloin)
- 1 large onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 bell pepper (any color, sliced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil (or butter)
For the Sliders:
- 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or mini brioche work great)
- 8 slices provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz for authenticity!)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried parsley
Sauté the Vegetables
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add onions and bell peppers, cooking for 5-6 minutes until soft and caramelized.
Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Steak
In the same skillet, add the remaining oil and thinly sliced steak.
Cook over high heat for 2-3 minutes until browned.
Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
Return the onions and peppers to the skillet and mix.
Assemble the Sliders
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Slice slider buns in half (keeping them connected for easy assembly).
Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
Layer with half the cheese, followed by the steak mixture, then the remaining cheese.
Top with the remaining bun halves.
Add Garlic Butter Topping
Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
Brush generously over the slider tops.
Bake & Serve
Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and buns are golden.
Optional: Cover with foil for the first 8 minutes to prevent over-browning.
Slice into individual sliders and serve warm!
