Main Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tails on or off)
- 8 oz linguine pasta or your favorite pasta
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup dry white wine, like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
- ½ cup chicken or seafood broth
- 1 lemon, juiced + zest
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes optional, for heat
- ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt & black pepper to taste
Optional Add-Ins
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
- 1/4 cup heavy cream for a richer sauce
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add linguine and cook until al dente (about 8-10 minutes).
Drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water, and set aside.
Sauté the Shrimp
In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
Make the Garlic Wine Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds (don’t let it burn!).
Pour in white wine and broth, simmering for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
Stir in lemon juice, zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
Combine Everything
Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet.
Toss in the pasta, mixing well. If needed, add a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and parsley.
